Hi this is small print from thrift store. My friend does not know artist, but she says it is the "Kotohira Honguu" Temple, It is small print 4 1/2" X 6 1/2". Kind of peaceful. Never heard of Artist, I bought it because it was less than 5-6 dollars. If anyone knows this artist, please let me know, thanks, I will sell soon. I do not know if it is woodblock print or regular print, there are now photographic dots, I just put photo of Shrine!, from internet. toracat

The artist is Masaya Watanabe. Here's another example of his work:
      https://www.fujiarts.com/cgi-bin/item.pl?item=892918

According to this page, he's an artist of the sosaku-hanga (self-printed woodblock) movement, born in 1931.

Your listing caught my eye (despite its age) because I recently found another artist's print of the sosaku-hanga movement and this made me curious to look at others!

Also, the lettering on your print does indeed read Kotohira (the first 4 characters) and Hongu (the fifth and sixth). Your photograph shows the place in question - not a Buddhist temple but a Shinto shrine.

In any case, it's a nice find, and I hope either you or the purchaser (if there was one) appreciates the attractiveness of this colourful, energetic piece.
