My friend has this heavy duty leveling tool that is knurled and weirdly double threaded and with a ball bearing inside. See pics. It looks like it was screwed into something important. The air bubble inside to level it into the cross hairs??
    Any ideas???

The distance between threads looks the same maybe someone tries to screw it into the wrong thread or cross-threaeded it and damaged the first part?
