    This looks like it could be a German 1930's Electric Street Car. This is a photo found in the estate of a German who visited Germany in the 1930's and then again as a member of the 101st Airborne in WWII. The writing on front warns workers to push carefully and not to bump hard.

      Yes, per that excerpt on the modellbahnforum website, it looks like it was running at least until 1966, and was scrapped in 1975.
