    WW2 or possibly occupation trooper from 8th Army showing his souvenir trench art P-38.

    The P-38 is the most commonly found of all trench art planes.

      Take a look at my other postings-- I have two P-38s posted.

      I have about 20 different examples of this plane in trench art.

      Actually most of the P- 38s that I have read about were shipboard projects and SEABEE projects not POW.

      I do recall seeing a photo album of German POWs (late War) that were held in Europe and had a craft shop that allowed them to make trench art items.

      I also have a really nice and detailed trench art ship that was constructed by a Japanese POW who was held in the US.
