An Etling Opalescent Shallow Bowl found at Vinnies a few months ago.
Circa 1935. Decorated with thistles. Marked 'Etling France' and numbered 214.
I am much indebted to a TALLCAKES a for a lead to the Projet Etling and the Catalogue of the Choisy-Le-Roi glassworks that includes this bowl 214. There the designer of the Chandon’s bowl is given as George’s Béal.

Gorgeous bowl with beautiful thistle design
Usually Etling was a mark you see on many quality bronze pieces as they were a firm who made some of the very best in France. When it came to bronzes of Art Deco design, they made a lot of chryselaphantine pieces of extraordinary quality. This piece too is a very quality glass piece with a beautiful thistle design !~
