1960 Impala 2 Dr HT 348 V8 Four Speed Manual Project
My brother and I picked up this project car - it certainly has potential.
Runs Good and Drives Straight.
Harder to find numbers matching 348 V8 with four speed manual transmission.
I like to find these older vehicles without a bunch of bodywork to hide what has to be done.
Thanks Much for Looking at my Post!!
It is beautiful.
Very nice indeed. Looks like a rewarding project. Enjoy !
Oh absolutely! You found yourself a gem! This had to have been garaged cuz she's just too clean, a project that'll be on the easy side! Great find!
Oops!!!
There was a local guy that recently passed away..he was really into these cars and had a bunch of them. Lots of 409 motors.
You should do a YouTube series on this car. There is a big audience for this stuff and this one is rare enough to warrant documenting the progress to bring it back.
You nailed it Falcon, thank you very much for the ID on my grandparents car! It's been bothering me for years, only wish it were the cooler Bel Air with the fins :)
Thanks All for the Appreciation and Nice Comments!!
@fortapache .... Thanks!
@ mikelv85 .... I'm looking forward to it :)
@ shareurpassion.... I concur ... an occasional "unexpected challenge" may appear but that's what projects are all about :)
@ dav2n01.... Yep... "My four speed, dual-quad, positraction four-oh-nine." :)
@ kwqd... I'll have to consider that :)
@ Newfld.... You are very welcome! I sure wish you would have left your post up :(
It was a great pic of a cool first generation BelAir, you, and kitty :)
BTW... the 1953 Bel Air was a very nice car. It has a very unique front grill that you can identify easily at a car show. Also, 1953 was the first year Bel Air's curved one-piece windshield.
wow! what a beauty. only thing better would be if it was a 59 (love the tail lights)
Thanks Much EJW-54 for the Appreciation and Comment!
Yep.... Bat-Wing Beauty - 1959 Chevrolet Impala :)
Man that’s in great shape !!! If it were in Florida it would be rotted from front bumper to back bumper. I have a 63 2 door Impala project in my building.
"LOVE IT"..Takes Me Back to the 60's, and Good Times! American Mags I Presume?
Not many Built 348s in my time, 283's Mostly.
