    This was rusty crusty dirty before a trip
    Ran thru Vacu Blast
    Cleaned up well marked VERONA and possibly 5 ??
    Somewhat hard to decipher
    Who or what is Verona??
    How old id this??
    Is that a 5 ?? If so what does that signify??

      Verona is a city in Italy, for one.

      Woodings Verona was a manufacturer. It's a railroad pickaxe head. 5 may indicate 5 pounds, I believe. (Weigh it.) 1930's. VERY collectible. Too bad you don't have the handle - it would most likely be marked USWPA.

      WHOO WHO stole the handle??

      Last time I saw that thumping stick it was very EZ to gain access to it
      I was Hoping to give it some TLC before unleashing it on the unsuspecting CW

      I have a pile of other projects in line... Have to do a WALL HANGER 2 BIT AXE before and Tom Foolery 2
