      Thanks Phil. Do you know approx the year? I only paid $8. so it's not a matter of value, I'm more interested in age. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.

      I see them occasionally on ebay and etsy, the dating goes from 40's t0 1980's and this 2 tone background is in the latter, but I am no expert on them but neither are the sellers.

      i agree with Blueyecon , IMO we are commited to the forward curving of the N in Japan

      This is IMO or late Taisho , actually you got the shut by means of the legislation , the follow up of the tarif act IMO, so the peribellum stuff is out

      actually no one asked the main question is it a HYBRID ( because all so called painted ware is actually machine ware)

      as far as i can see you got the benefit of the doubt, bur i can,t see well
