Gulf States Telephone Company Pin

Hello,

It took me 15 years to find a pin issued from this telephone company. The company was based out of Houston, Texas, and supplied service to Texas and Louisiana, along the gulf coast. Later the company was acquired by United Telephone (Sprint).

The pin features a beautiful, lone star in white enamel with TEXAS painted in a combination of silver and gold enamel paint. The white circle banner, on top of a field of blue, is painted, "GULF STATES TELEPHONE COMPANY", and features a deep blue border. Marked 10K on the back of the pin.
