this little pot is just 3.25 inches tall and signed F.R. Loretta [i think] from Jemez. I think i've seen or even might have some other pots w/ this same name or very similar. Any info appreciated.

The last name is "Loretto," a fairly common surname at Jemez (Gregory Schaaf lists more than 40 Jemez potters with that last name, and 5 with the first initial "F." in his book "Southern Pueblo Pottery, 2000 Artist Biographies.")
Unfortunately, none of the middle names or initials are given for the 5. And the Loretto potters are not necessarily related. There are several families, so it may not be easy to identify the potter in this case.
All are contemporary, however, and the pot itself appears to be decorated with acrylic paint, so it probably dates to the 1970s-1980s.
70's or 80's is good w me! I love it!!! And I love the miniatures. I'll trade you for my egg poacher!!! Hee-hee. But I will!
thank you CynRd - great info to have. i have another piece by a Loretto from Jemez somewhere although i can't remember what it looks like. it's packed away in the warehouse right now.
