    Pictured here is a SAWYER FARMS...GILFORD NEW HAMPSHIRE quart baby top milk bottle with home made dress. It was used as a door stop somewhere in the house. When I received it there was the old sand still in the bottle. I find these folk art dressed milk bottles quite interesting. There aren't many that seemed to have survived.

      Does the milk bottle feature the face shown or was that painted on by the owner?
      Some lady did a nice job with crafting the outfit….likely made with small scraps left over from making dresses for the females of the household. Nice. :^)

      The face was painted by the owner many years ago. I agree, they did an excellent job making the dresses & bonnet.
