    I purchased this older ( by appearance and style early 20th century) ceramic charger several years ago. The technique I believe is called "cold painting". The style I would describe as expressionist reminding me, particularly of the German expressionists. The only markings are shown in the second photo, an impressed word/ name which appears to be "BRITRAN". A bit of a long shot but thought perhaps someone might be familiar with this art form and could offer some opinion. It measures about 11 in across. Thanks!

      Agree maryh1956, BELTRAN - also image and the name both appear Spanish to me.
