A pair of French Samson porcelain plates painted in Yonghzeng style late 19thc

A true piece of study in that case how Europeans(French Edmée Samson manifacture of Paris in that case )were percieving Chinese porcelain art during 19/20th Samson's versatility is well known by specialistes in the ceramic art field as Father and son they were imitating all kind of styles as Persian/Chinese/Sevres/Meissen/British......styles always with high level accomplished creations at such point that collectors are always impressed by that too elaborated and acomplished hand painting by commiting their first "mistake" by buying it for Chinese export production (it was my case also several years ago)too perfect to be Chinese production wich almost keeps its so called "rustic" simplicity.....it's a matter of time to nurture eyes in order to make difference between genuin chinese export china wares and those of created by talented Samson...very important point to not forget glazing and potting quite different compared to genuin chinese wares.
