I found these in a bag of random junk jewelry 8 I purchased at a thrift store over 10 years ago. In 2020 I threw them into a donations bag. I fished them out before the bag was donated. I just think the pandas are adorable! If I thought I could afford to comment these I absolutely would. One question I have is who decided these should go into cufflinks/jewelry? Also curious as to the rarity of the coin itself. It's marked "1989".

585 is the mark for 14 carat gold in Europe, so I am glad you retrieved them!

Au is the scientific mark for gold, but not sure what the content would be on the coins.

There is a Gold & Bullion category, you might try posting it in that area too
