Hello..This is a stool for the musical instrument the Harp.
The 'Hole' You see is where a player's hands would go through to play while sitting on a stool/chair..sometimes.
The History of the Harp goes back to the ancient Hebrew and Egyptian cultures and was called a Lyre.
Later, the Harp would become the basis for the Piano, laying flat and struck with wooden/felted hammers. Hence the name Harpsichord.
      This is Very Nice!!
