This is a rare find and I have been googling so have information about the company which seems to date back to 1700’s.

The address is 154 Oxford Street London so would have been made pre 1845.

What’s interesting is there is clearly something missing from the table ? Any ideas of what it actually is ? Thank you

I'd guess it probably had a stone (marble, etc) piece inset on the top?

Good point, may have been an ashtray!

I have a similar sized little antique table (used as a plant stand) that has a darkish colored flat marble piece as its top in the frame, that's what prompted my thought. I'll look closer at the one I've got the next time I'm in its vicinity to see if there are other similarities to yours that I've never noticed before?!

I also think it would have held a marble or some other kind of stone disc.
I don’t think the rim is deep enough for an ashtray.
The stand probably held a plant (fern or violet, maybe).

Such a pretty piece and really old! So condition not great on the top but otherwise loved researching it! Thank you for your help.
