Does anyone know the maker of this small dish? It has a pink crackle pattern? I have 4 of them so it appears to be a set, but not certain what they're called.

    They measure approx. 4.5" L  x 3.75" W (measured at widest point)

    Thank you for any info?

My guess would be Japanese. Perhaps designed to be arranged like:

Thank you, that looks like the correct arrangement and shape. Looks like I'm missing one though.

      Appreciate the help! =)

Just to add, I agree 100% with art.pottery. The potter signature is almost certainly Japanese, and as this depicts a pink sakura (cherry blossom) petal, originally this would have been a set of five such petals.

In Japan, many items such as plates, soy sauce bowls, chopstick rests, etc. are usually sold in sets of five. One reason is that the word for 4 ("shi") is inauspicious because it sounds like the word for "death". I own a couple of second-hand Japanese sets of plates that originally would have included 5, but which were discarded by the original owner when one was broken.

Thank you for the additional info! It's helpful to know how to describe it as well. The mystery is half solved. It would be nice to know the maker, but realize that's a long shot.
