This small footed bowl or cup is 3.25" in diameter x 1.25" high and the diameter of the foot is 1". It has a red over white glaze with a crackled finish. It is marked on the bottom and came in a tomobako which is also marked. I am not sure what the purpose of this piece is, possibly a tea bowl. It could be a small cup or bowl or purely decorative. I have not yet researched the marks on the cup or box. I have been looking for small pieces and this met that criteria.

Thanks for loving my cup, waki. As I recall, this came from the collection of a professor who taught in Japan in the 1980s and 1990s. He had a good eye.
