H, I saw this vase signed Gallé in a second hand store. It is pretty damaged at the top but still, I am curious to know if you think this is a real Gallé. The signature is not engraved. What do you think?

Can you see the word TIP on it?

The Romanian ones often (but not always) have the word "TIP" on them . This is Romanian for "Type" - some European importer insisted on this to cover them selves for any copyright etc etc..

So I guess those with TIP on are not technically forgeries as they are declaring they are copies... ?
