This is unmarked, the body is shaded with details on face, toenails etc. it’s really nice quality. Does anyone know who might have made it...tiny vent hole.

Beautiful dog, maybe a retriever, it looks so nice on the cobalt base. I think the porcelain boxes began with Limoges but afterward many cos followed, hope someone here may know for sure

Hi Newfid it is not a box, but a painted cobalt base. Thanks for your observation.

Have a look at this pair of Spaniels sitting on a cobalt base, with a gold surround. They're King Charles Spaniels', so not the breed in your piece. Also, there's a photo of the base showing a small hole. I think your dog is a Spaniel - floppy ears and wide fluffy tail.

Checking many Pinterest pages, I've found a lot of dogs, and cats, sitting/standing on a cobalt base with a gold surround. If you look at the bottom of the item in the last photo, it has a small hole.

It reminded me of Staffordshire except it wasn't primitive enough and the pinhole is a sign also. When I purchased it I wondered if it wasn't a more recent Staffordshire, except that I couldn't find any examples remotely similar.
