Antique Fairing The Welsh Tea Party Made in Germany
From the internet:
"The Welsh Tea Party". It features three woman in traditional Welsh dress enjoying tea.
The all over dimensions are roughly 3" X 4", and the base is stamped "Made in Germany".
There is a card explaining that this was purchased at a fair in London in the 19th century. It names the woman, Rachel Stockham, who moved from the UK to the US in 1886 and brought this much-treasured figurine with her.
It’s so exciting to have an actual name of the owner from so long ago. Having name, year and countries involved might just give you the perfect leads for delving into old ship’s passenger records and immigration records to find out more about Rachel.
