Found this unique looking incense burner at my local thrift store. I wonder if it’s Vantine. Made of cast aluminum and what looks like a lead based paint. Shows a woman sitting Indian style with her arms sort of extended outwards, sitting next to two pots at her sides. I don’t know whether it’s Navajo or South American or even India. Weighs a feeble pounds, measures over 10” across and sits at about 9”. Very cool find but could use some expertise on this item.

I wonder how you happened to establish that an iron item is an incense burner? I find that unusual and would be interested in learning. I have a few, but none made of iron.

@fhrjr2 , it was being sold as an incense burner by the thrift store who labeled it that. I guess they thought the pots the woman sits by is filled with sand which you could stick a incense stick in. I wonder myself because after some more research I now know the metal is not iron, but some kind of metal.

What you have is Smoking related. It's made of pot metal. The Gypsy Lady held a large tray that was supported by her hands and the tray also had a pin that slipped into the hole in her chest. The tray was for cigarettes, the tall urn held a few stick matches, and the low pot held a cup for ashes.
