Since last summer I own this little agate carved teapot. I'm not familiair with gemstones in general. I believe this is called 'banded agate'; see the nice strokes. Unfortunately, there seems to be a line in the handle, as pictured. I suppose this is a crack line. Is it? Strangely enough, as far as I can see, this seems the only line. I would think a crack in a handle would feature at least two lines. However, it could have been under pressure, without actually breaking, maybe during the carving process.

So delicate design, much more complicated than the usual shape of agate/carnelian teapots you can see on Google images!
      Lovely.

Very well put Kyratango; a 'thank you' on behalf of the teapot!
