I recently purchased this TAGLIABUE gauge from an individual. I see this company made thermometers and barometers, and have found many pictures and information about those items but I can not find anything similar to this gauge. I am guessing this came from a ship, train or factory to measure pressure for something. The scale on the face plate goes from 0 - 31, the mercury is long gone from this gauge. If you know anything about this please let me know.

30 inches of mercury (drawn up the tube) is very high vacuum. Gauges similar to this were used on vacuum brakes in railroad applications.
