    At least that's what I *think* it is...one more item rescued from the "NO, we're not gonna throw antique tools into the dumpster at the shop, even if they're tools we'd never ever use" department. <headdesk>

    It measures about 5-1/2" long and 3" at the wide end of its blade, and weighs about 2-1/2 pounds. Its maker's mark cast into one side appears to say "RAZ R EDGE TRADE MARK" with "ETW" below that.

    A little bit of quick searching just now produced lots of golf clubs <sigh> but didn't bring up anything similar to this tool -- any further clues anybody might share about it are welcomed, please...?!! :-) :-) :-)

      I've used wedges to split wood along with sledge hammer. For some reason I find it fun.
