i really like the black-on-black design on this large biscuit tin. i don't know how old it is or where it's from, but the bottom is typical shiny gold and the top has this wonderful textural design using contrasting glossy and matte finishes on black.

looks like art nouveau to me . very beautiful original tin box!!
This pretty tin once held luscious Belgian chocolates. I don't have to go very far for some of these delights.
