    Here's another vase - but much larger - that i found at Goodwill today. it's signed 'U.S.A.' on the base. i was thinking it might be a california piece, but who knows?

      This is a California pottery vase, the question is which of the many mid century manufacturers, let me take a look and see, my guess is Bauer, but that's just a guess.

      Yes almost certainly Bauer for a variety of reasons, design, shape, rendition, mark. Very pretty vase! :)

      sorry, that response sounded glib. Your vase is shown in the Mangus Shawnee Pottery text on page 76. Identified only as "Swirl 10" Marked: U.S.A."
