Posted is my Victor model VV-50 record player built in 1924. It is a wind-up and portable model that was the rage of the "roaring 20's" at parties and picnics.
As was usual for the disc players of that time, it uses a Victor #2 reproducer. The VV-50 was available in either oak or mahogany cabinets. This player happens to be of oak.
The cabinet and all of its hardware are in very good original condition. I wish that you could hear the sound that comes when playing a 78 RPM record. It is crystal clear and as good as a stereo phonograph.
You store the crank snapped on to the inside of the lid, when not in use, also next to the name tag is a nickel plated two compartment box that stores new and used needles.
