My father did watch repairs in the forties, we found several watches one is a pocket watch in which we could not find too much info on. It is silver with no name on the face. Inside it has a patent number and the words Weckt/Still imprinted. Maybe with an alarm inside. I would love some more information. I found a similar one online that had a similar arrow on the face as mine, but it had "persistent" printed on the face, Landendorf on the back and alarm/ stop imprinted, along with the same patent number as mine. As you can see there is no alarm or stop printed on mine, instead it says Weckt/Still. Hmmm?? Hope someone out there could give me some more info. It has sentimental value to me, my father is no longer here to share the history of this watch.

A patent protects its holder from (unlicensed) copycats, so if you've already identified on another watch of yours that patent no. 41794 is Langendorf's, then it stands to reason this watch is also a Langendorf.

'Alarm' / 'Stop' in German are 'Weckt' (=waken)/ 'Still'.

Now, what's with the papal tiara thingie on the watchface?

Good question. I suppose it was just a different look produced at a different time. Maybe someone out there will know.
      Thx for the info.
