Check out the prices for getting pictures developed and extra prints & enlargements on August 21st 1939. I found these in some stacks of old pictures and they came from "New Drug" in the little N.W. Louisiana town of Homer. Bonnie & Clyde were ambushed about 9 miles away in Gibbsland La in 1932. Been to the site many times. This picture packet has several negatives that appear to be my father and a couple other people. He was born on Jan 1st 1920 so that would have made him around 19 years old when the pics were taken and this packet picked up at the drugstore after being developed. The packet is in remarkable shape from being of lite paper and being this old. When I was a little boy my grand dad would take me to "New Drug" and buy me a "banana split" each time we made the yearly 800 mile journey to Homer. Wow the "old time" drug counter with the round "swivel" stools, wood floors, shake mixers and numerous signs is a whole 'nother story/book in itself. When granddad came to Florida, he would take me out and do the same thing. Kinda got to be a "tradition" and also enabled me to spend some real quality time with a very smart successful man who I thought the world of.

Read everything in pic one and look at the fancy swivel wooden frame "get-up" they sold for 73 cents. I wish I could find one of those frames. What I will do now is spend hours researching "The Fox Company" and locate one of these old "free standing" swivel wood frames. This very addictive hobby of vintage collecting seems to "feed on itself", with no end in sight...
