    I got this beautiful ladle in a $20 box of mixed items at an auction. It belonged to the same man that owned a perfume bottle I posted recently.
    It is silver, my apologies for the poor photos.
    No makers marks or marks other than the dot prick style of engraving shown on the handle. It appears it may have been a gift and clearly shows the date 1802. I love the style and elegance of this piece but I am not sure what it would have been used for other than it would have probably be used when the best china etc came out. It is 6" long the bowl 2"

      I love auctions! Sometimes you can get a great surprise, like this :) the handle is lovely; and I love that it clearly shows the date - 1802, Wow!
