Read through a few of the posts on this page; some very interesting projects. We just bought our first house this year and acquired a project of our own. The house came with this beautiful antique platform rocker that looks similar to other ones posted here from the late 1800's, which makes sense as our house was built in 1890 and we thought the previous owner may have inherited it as well. I have not been able to find a manufacturer's mark anywhere, but it is about 34" high with ornate scrollwork and the original springs on the underside. If anyone can provide additional information or knows of a good place to find more info, we'd appreciate it.
